We talked to Sylva Richterová from the Krtek Foundation about what our journey together looks like and why flexibility is key in charity work.

Freedom to help where it is most needed
One of the specific features of our support is the provision of so-called free funds. This format of donation is absolutely essential for the endowment fund. Cancer treatment is unpredictable and the needs of families change from day to day.
Thanks to unrestricted funds, Krtek can respond immediately. A recent example is the assistance provided to the family of a young patient who urgently needed hearing aids with a co-payment of CZK 43,500. Thanks to the flexibility of the donations, the foundation was able to pay the amount immediately, without lengthy paperwork or waiting for grants.

Changing needs of families
The world of pediatric oncology has been changing in recent years. In addition to treatment itself, families today increasingly require psychological support, social counseling, and help navigating the system. "We often hear the phrase, 'We couldn't have done it without you,'" says Sylva Richterová. "Thanks to the help of companies such as TSC Group, mothers can stay with their children free of charge on the hospital premises throughout their hospitalization."
A challenge for all of us: The Golden Ribbon Project
