BK Mladá Boleslav, founded in 1908, is one of the clubs with a rich hockey tradition and is one of the twelve founding members of the Czech Ice Hockey Association. Since the 2014/2015 season, it has been playing in the Czech Extraliga, where it has earned respect as a strong and ambitious team. The club has produced a number of notable players, including Jiří Hrdina, who enjoyed success in the NHL, Radim Vrbata, who had a long career abroad, Václav Pletka, and Tomáš Hyka. The current lineup features talented players such as Dominik Lakatoš and Aleš Čech, who are contributing to the club's dynamic growth.
